CD Projekt's Stock Growth Beats Every Other European Company this Decade
It's been an astoundingly good decade for a particular Polish developer, publisher and distributor: CD Projekt. The company behind the acclaimed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 has announced a 21,000% increased in stock value since 2009, making it the most successful European company this decade.
The universal praise showered upon The Witcher 3 clearly had no small part in aiding this growth; with the hype generated around Cyberpunk 2077 (even without Keanu Reeves), the expansion shows no signs of stopping.
CD Projekt is known for respecting its fanbase: The Witcher 3 had no piracy protection, instead the company released a public statement asking pirates to consider paying for the game, if they enjoyed it enough. While this could be seen as a naive move, and probably was, it exemplifies the attitude that helped CD Projekt become a favourite among the gaming audience and explains its current position of dominance in the market.
