Cendres: A Survival Journey - The Latest Project From DONTNOD Co-Founder
Cendres: it means "ashes" in French (at least, according to Google Translate). Appropriate, considering that Cendres: A Survival Journey, the debut title from Nameless XIII, is all about people surviving among the ashes of a ruined world. Led by DONTNOD co-founder, Hervé Bonin, the apocalyptic, story-driven survival game is due out for PC (via Steam) in 2021. No information regarding alternate storefronts or console releases has been confirmed as of now. Take a look at the reveal trailer above.

In the atmospheric, nerve-wracking trailer, watch as the game's lead group traverse a desolate land, make choices regarding their limited supplies and deal with potentially untrustworthy strangers. It's a bleak one, but Cendres looks to hit the same emotional core as This War of Mine, albeit with a less true-to-life setting.
According to the currently available information regarding the game, narrative plays a strong component with 34 potential endings. Given that number, it's sensible to assume that Cendres is a short title with a focus on replay-value, however this remains to be seen.
Cendres: A Survival Journey is planned for release 2021 for PC (via Steam).
