Confirmed - Another Red Dead Sequel Underway

Rockstar Games has posted the following to Facebook:
Red Dead Redemption 2 will release worldwide in Fall 2017 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems.
An epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland, the game's vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.
Watch the Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer at 11AM Eastern on Thursday, October 20th here on Facebook, at rockstargames.com, as well at the official Rockstar Games YouTube and Twitch pages.

Rockstar have sent the internet into a frenzy with a single tweet. The tweet, which has no commentary, and features just a red background with the Rockstar logo, is presumed to be a teaser for an upcoming Red Dead game.

It was rumoured that the developer would be revealing a new game in the wild west series at E3 this year, but that wasn't to be. With fans eagerly awaiting a new instalment though, it was always likely that we would see a return.
Of course, at this point, we can't be certain that the image is definitely a confirmation, but it's as close as we've seen so far. Twitter user @RealShigeruM (a parody of Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto had another suggestion:
