Dead by Daylight: A Binding of Kin - Meet the New Villains and Survivor

A Binding of Kin, the latest chapter for asymmetrical multiplayer horror hit Dead by Daylight is out now for Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Steam, Windows Store, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.  While it may not be the first content update to the game (far from it), A Binding of Kin still boasts a novel twist on the established formula. The new villain introduced with this update, The Twins, is actually two characters controlled simultaneously, adding a new layer of asymmetricity to proceedings.

The villains in question are conjoined twins from 17th century France, Charlotte and Victor Deshayes. After their mother was killed due to the twins' abnormality, the pair was locked up in a sewer by a vile cult. Eventually, the twins grew to despise humanity. Upon being enveloped by a thick fog, Victor passed away, rotting and detaching from his sister. The evil fog had restored his life, though, immortalising both him and his sister... in a sense. From that day onward, the twins existed as a force of evil, seeking only to torment humanity.

Which brings us to humanity, and the latest survivor: Élodie Rakoto. A fierce and fearless woman whose parents were swallowed by the Abyss, Élodie devoted her life to studying and understanding the occult. Of course, they say that "if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you", and that's exactly what Élodie has discovered, as she now finds herself hunted by the Twins.

Alongside this, players will enjoy an expanded Holiday Horror Collection with new, festive outfits—including those for the chapter's brand-new characters. The in-game Advent Calendar has also begun, letting players unlock new festive items each day they log in until the 2nd January 2021. Factor in Freddy Kreuger (now available on all platforms), various graphical improvements and quality-of-life updates, and you have the makings of another top update for Dead By Daylight.
