Dead by Daylight Now Supports Cross-Play
It started with PC and Xbox One, but now, cross-play functionality has been enabled for Behaviour Interactive's Dead by Daylight on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Switch. Starting from the 14th August 2020, players on all platforms will enjoy Dead by Daylight's asynchronous multiplayer action side-by-side. Additionally, Behaviour Interactive has launched a universal Dead by Daylight friends list that operates independently of each platform's respective 'friends' feature.
This monumental announcement has, reportedly, followed a solid year of "research, interviews, data analysis" and the aforementioned 'PC and Xbox One-exclusive' cross-play functionality.
Unfortunately, Behaviour Interactive has confirmed that mobile platforms are not included in this cross-play ecosystem, however the Stadia version will join its PC and console brethren upon launch. Additionally, keyboard and mouse support will not be coming to console alongside this update.
Cross-play is in effect right now for Dead by Daylight on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Switch. It can, if you desire, be disabled from the in-game settings.
