Bungie has revealed the details for the first Iron Banner tournament to hit Destiny 2 along with the Prestige version of the Leviathan Raid.
The return of the Iron Banner will see some changes to the event in Destiny 1 but will also include some impressive rewards as well. For Destiny 2 the Iron Banner will no longer take your power level into account and therefore the focus is instead on your fighting abilities. Bounties and ranks have now been replaced with an Iron Banner Engram as well. Once you have completed the Destiny 2 campaign you will be able to enter the Iron Banner tournament.
At the same time as the Iron Banner going live you will also be able to undertake the Prestige mode of the Leviathan. The change this time around is that it looks like the higher challenge won't unlock a higher Power Level.
"We do not expect everyone to be successful in completing this activity. Mechanical changes to the encounters are minimal, but they are there. The Prestige Raid is about mastering a more punishing sandbox. Our goal is not to provide a boon to your character progression, but there are unique rewards to help you shine. Consider this your invitation to prove to the world that you are among the very best of the Raiders who overlook the City."
The Prestige Raid and the Iron Banner will unlock at 10am GMT on 10th October. Destiny 2 is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with a PC release later this month.
