Development on Surviving Mars Has Resumed

Development on the colonisation sim Surviving Mars has resumed, Paradox Interactive has announced. Developer Abstraction will be taking over from Haemimont Games going forward, with a new expansion for the game set to release later this year.

Until that major expansion releases, Surviving Mars players will have to tide themselves over with the recently released free Tourism update and the In-Dome Buildings content creator pack. The former adds an element of RollerCoaster Tycoon to the game, with players being asked to keep Mars tourists happy with amusement parks, hotels, safaris and more. The latter, which costs £3.99, adds eight new buildings and a range of new house expansion and community options. Check out the trailer for it above.

Surviving Mars is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Mac and Linux.
