DIRT 5 Announced As Codemasters' First Next-Gen Title

Following Microsoft’s Inside Xbox event, Codmasters have revealed more info on the newly announced DIRT 5. It'll be arriving in October on a whole host of platforms both new and old; Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, Steam, and current gen Xbox and PlayStation consoles, with a Stadia release to follow in 2021.

The reveal trailer gives us a taste of what DIRT 5 has to offer, showing off some of the locations you'll be racing through this time. Players will be able to race in a variety of vehicle classes, from buggies, trucks, and rock bouncers, to traditional and modern rally cars. Alongside this comes an increase in the amount of customisation options for vehicles, allowing for more creativity than what was possible before.

With 120fps support, four player split-screen, and a career mode featuring the voice acting talents of Nolan North and Troy Baker, DIRT 5 is looking to make a strong first impression as the first racing game to be shown off for next generation consoles.
