Disney Dreamlight Valley Reworks Star Path due to Player Feedback
Gameloft has been diligently updating Disney Dreamlight Valley, and they've had a massively successful year in 2025. Updates include fantastic features like better rotation for items, smaller grids, and more, all based on player feedback.
The last bout of massive changes coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley (or rather, massive change, since it's now live as of the 20th of August in the Emotional Rescue update) is the Starpath. Players had been complaining about the duties ever since the inclusion of additional "bonus" items, which include homes and recoloured versions of things in the Pass.
The rehaul seeks to change a few major player complaints: time-limited duties that were difficult to complete due to multi-day requirements, character-specific duties (outside of the latest launched character, which in this case are Joy and Sadness), and more have been either permanently or temporarily removed. Here are the specifics:
- Duties regarding Memory Orbs were significantly reduced.
- Restaurant-related duties have been temporarily removed.
- Duties requiring players to craft Training Manuals have been removed.
- Multi-day duties have been removed.
On launch, completing all of the duties will give players the necessary currency to complete the track. But to complete everything in the Bonus Rewards Path, you'll need to engage with the new Routine Duties incorporated; these essentially are quests that'll be unlocked weekly.
Routine Duties are, thus far, easier than the harder duties that were removed. Every week, a new set of duties will be unlocked — you can choose to finish them each week or wait until the end to complete them all in one go.
This was incorporated with the 20th of August on the Retro Roadtrip Star Path.
