Disney Putting a Stop to The Avengers' Alliance.

Disney have announced their intention to shutdown both Marvel: Avengers Alliance and Marvel: Avengers Alliance 2 on all available platforms on the 30th September 2016.

The titles, available on iOS, Android, Windows Phone and Facebook, will be unavailable for play from then. Players can continue to play the games but no new purchases or downloads are possible.

On the Disney support area, the reasoning given for closing the titles is that they want to "...focus our energy and resources into making new games and digital experiences..." and then thank the fans for their passion and commitment to their games.

"The mobile versions of Marvel: Avengers Alliance will be closing in sync with the Facebook version on September 30, 2016. Until that time, Agents can log in and enjoy Marvel: Avengers Alliance.

The decision was difficult to make, but we feel it’s best to focus our energy and resources into making new games and digital experiences for our fans and community. We greatly appreciate all of the amazing engagement, passion and commitment to our games. Thank you for playing!"

The games will cease to be from the 30th September 2016 and will be inaccessible from the iOS App Store, Google Play, Windows Phone Store and Facebook.
