Doloc Town's First Major Update: Pastoral Waves is Out Now; Discover More in the Trailer!

Doloc Town, the side-scrolling post-apocalyptic farming sim has introduced a major update in the form of Pastoral Waves. With RedSaw Games and Logoi Games having released the Early Access title on 5th May, fans have undoubtedly looked forward to this new update. With a new trailer to showcase what to expect, here's what you should know.

The Pastoral Waves update has introduced two major systems: Animal Husbandry and Aquaculture. But, that's not all. There are new quests and facilities to add to your homestead. With this update, players can raise animals on both land and in water. There is also a full new ranching tree, and with it, players can decide on the type of farming they want to pursue. There will even be new ranching-related buildings for players to add to their homestead.

With a new ranching faction and NPC unlocks early in the adventure, players will notice not only fresh quests, but more progress in the main story. To add to this, there has been quality of life updates, as well as some visual and environmental improvements. There are also two new semi-automatic tools that can be obtained through faction quests, and players can also keep updated with their discovered flora and fauna with a creature and plant encyclopedia.

Since launching in Early Access, Doloc Town has had a 94% positivity rating from the over 1,100 reviews currently on Steam. Praised for its charming pixel art, cosy yet adventurous gameplay, and an immersive world, the new update will allow players to explore even more of it.

The Pastoral Waves update launched on 26th August, so if you haven't tried out Doloc Town yet, this seems as good a time as any.
