Earth Defense Force 4.1: Shadow of the New Despair,  The PS4-enhanced port of Earth Defense Force 2025 is here. To celebrate the incoming attack in this B-movie inspired shooter, XSeeD have revealed a new trailer for the game. Alongside it, they have shown more details from the PS Vita version of the second game in the series, Earth Defense Force 2: Invaders from Planet Space. 

The games are both shooters that see you as a member of the titular Earth Defense Force, trying to save the world from hordes of invading aliens. It's an intentionally bombastic and over the top affair, celebrating movies like Plan 9 From Outer Space and Robot Monster. We'll have reviews of both games here on GameGrin very soon, but in the meantime, checkout the trailer above.
