Escape Dead Island Announced

Set between the events of Dead Island and Dead Island 2, Fatshark are taking a more psychotic angle, as seen in the trailer above.

Fatshark's most recent release was War of Vikings, which we reviewed to be above-average. This is a change for them, seeing as it is third-person and features zombies, so we will wait and see how it goes.

Main character Cliff Caylo is obviously unhinged, though most people would be when encountering zombies on an island paradise. Reality will slip into unreality, which may be the real reality - which is a dream. He is trying to unravel the details behind the outbreak - and hopefully survive.

Details are scarce, but it will be released in autumn 2014, ahead of the Q1 2015 release for Dead Island 2.  It will also apparently be single-player only, and be out for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
