FIFA World Cup Voting Simulator Announced
Editor's Note: The astute amongst you will have probably noticed the date on this article already. This April Fools gag was brought to you by GameGrin.com
The beautiful game has had something of a bad rap lately. With accusations of impropriety and certain members of the sport’s governing body arrested, voted out or otherwise tarred with suggestions of alleged improper conduct, association football is clearly a sport in need of a PR boost. With EA’s FIFA series being so popular, it’s up to the publishing giant to help restore the image of the sport that we all know and love.
Working closely with new FIFA President Gianni Infantino, FIFA World Cup Voting simulator will see players take control of their favourite country and organise a bid for the World Cup. In an exact and detailed simulation of the process, you’ll have to create PowerPoint presentations, give talks on the history and culture of your country and definitely not give large amounts of money to voting countries showcase the beautiful stadia that you plan on hosting games at.
Steve Cavanagh, the game’s lead programmer said of the game:
“This is a big addition to the EA Sports stable. We’ve been proud to bring you the best in soccer for over thirteen years and we’re even prouder to be able to bring you the first game focusing on the most important sporting decision in the world; the choosing of the FIFA soccerball World Cup host countries.”
