Firefly Inspired Turn Based Strategy Shock Tactics Announced

Citing Firefly as one of your inspirations is a surefire way to get Sci-Fi fans on the internet listening. The cult show and its style of western-meets-space-opera is a heavy influence on Berlin-based indie developer Point Blank Games for their debut title. That title is Shock Tactics and it's due to be released later this year. Taking its cue from games like Jagged Alliance and X-COM, it's a turn based strategy game with procedurally generated levels. 

As the commander of a Strike Team, fighting for the Space Pioneers, you are the trailblazer for the first wave of explorers on a harsh and ancient alien homeworld. Other powers are trying to uncover the secrets of the planet, the ruthless Mega-Cooperation “Consortium” has already sent their mercenary forces – future conflicts are inevitable.
