First Gameplay of Monster Boy And The Cursed Kingdom Shown

Spiritual successor turned full-blown sequel to the Wonder Boy games Monster Boy And The Cursed Kingdom is getting closer to release. Despite failing to meet its Kickstarted target, the game was picked up by a publisher anyway earlier this year and has also been given the blessing of the original series creator so is now considered canon. In a video released recently, FDG Entertainment showed the first footage yet of the game in action.

The trailer shows some of the animal transformations that monster boy has including snakes and pigs. It also shows off some of the end of level bosses such as a giant toad and a massive squid. It's very much in the not-too-serious vein of the original Master system games so fans of the series will be pleased to know that it will be getting an official release for PS4, Xbox One and PC in 2016.
