First PlayStation Plus Games For 2017 Revealed

First PlayStation Plus Games For 2017 Revealed

January's PlayStation Plus additions have been revealed and the PlayStation gets some love this month along with some smaller but well-respected headline games. The first of the main titles for January is the remastered version of the classic 1993 point and click adventure, Day of the Tentacle Remastered, bringing together Laverne, Hoagie and Bernard in a time-hopping quest to stop the dastardly Purple Tentacle's plans.

The other headline title is This War of Mine: The Little Ones. Inspired by the Siege of Sarajevo during the Bosnian War it focuses on the civilian experience and how choices affect the life and death of everyone involved as they fight to survive.

The full lineup this month is as follows:

  • Day of the Tentacle Remastered (PS4 and PS Vita)
  • This War of Mine: The Little Ones (PS4)
  • Blazerush (PS3)
  • The Swindle (PS3, PS4 and PS Vita)
  • Azkend 2 (PS Vita)
  • Titan Souls (PS Vita and PS4)

As usual, once applied to your account you can re-download these titles as long as you have an active PlayStation Plus membership.

Be sure to grab last month's titles before January's titles go live on the 3rd January.

The only one I'd have been interested in would be Day of the Tentacle - and I bought it on Steam just the other day!

The remaster of DoTT was really enjoyable. The art is for the most part kind of how your brain imagined the old 320x200 pixel art to look. It's still a fun adventure and its humour carries it a long way.

I'm honestly curious to look at The Swindle. I liked the look of that when it released but had completely forgotten about it.

It sounds interesting, but the Steam user reviews aren't very strong...

Sounds like the main complaint, at least on PC, is dubious controls. I'll check it out on Vita, at least for "free" I've not really lost anything but a few minutes time :D
