Free, Game Boy–inspired Puzzle Game, Phantom Feline, Got 2.0 Update; Watch the Launch Trailer!

Developed by Shady Paw and published by UMBC Game Developers Club, Phantom Feline is a 2D puzzle title that draws inspiration from Game Boy games. In it, players take on the role of Shady the Ghost Cat, who has the ability to become a shadow; this skill allows him to traverse light differently, such as climbing to higher floors. The twist is that he can't jump! Now, with the update, players can expect the title's size to quadruple, and all at no cost.

Here's what's new in Phantom Feline's 2.0 update:

• The game is now Steam Deck–verified and compatible with Linux.
• 24 new levels have been added.
• The levels have been sectioned into four different areas.
• Three additional post-game content challenge modes have been added.
• 14 Steam achievements.
• Steam Cloud support is available now.
• Multi-screen and multi-key support have been added.
• Many new gimmicks are available, such as conveyor belts, pushable boxes, and pressure pads.
• New particle effects are available, offering new depth to certain items, like keys.
• A new collectible is available: the ectoplasm vial.
• More animations and sound effects have been added.
• Support for palette support has been added.
• The UI for level select and settings has been updated.
• The UI also received new sounds.
• Controls can now be remapped for further comfort.
• 16:9 is now properly supported.
