One of the best point-and-click adventure games ever released is being remastered, and it now has a release date.
Double Fine Productions and GOG.com have announced the start of exclusive pre-orders for Full Throttle Remastered, LucasArts' classic graphic adventure game originally released in 1995. Tim Schafer, the lead game designer of the original game, headed the team that worked on Remastered.
The remake will feature all-new high-resolution hand drawn artwork alongside remastered audio and music, and just like previously remastered point-and-click classics like Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle Remastered can be toggled back to it's original form at anytime with the press of a button.
The package on GoG includes not only the adventures of Ben Throttle, but also wallpapers, a concept art browser with work from Peter Chan, and in-game commentary by the game’s original creators. Pre-orders have a -20% off the price tag, and to celebrate, GoG is running a week long sale on other Double Fine Productions games, including Grim Fandango Remastered (-80%), Broken Age (-80%), Day of the Tentacle Remastered (-66%), and more.
Full Throttle Remastered is out on the 18th of April on the PC.
