Gameplay Footage Released for Cancelled 2008 Superman Game
Superman is a fairly neglected IP when it comes to videogames, but there was a point where that could have changed. Seemingly titled Blue Steel, developer Salvatrix on Twitter came forward about a project that she was the lead designer of back in 2008, detailing how the economic crash killed her publisher, studio and ultimately the entire project. All that’s left are the two above trailers, demoing a very early build of what gameplay would have been like.
The goal was to present super brawls as they were seen in the cartoons and comics. JLU was our main touchstone. We put together this fast video montage to show what everything we wanted to have as gameplay. And we DID IT.https://t.co/0l5pskHVsC

The tweet made the rounds on Twitter and other gaming news sources which begs the question, is a Superman videogame something that gamers didn’t know they wanted?
