Games Being Sold Illegally on Windows Store

The only place to legally purchase Darkest Dungeon is via Steam or from the Humble Store, so says Red Hook Studios co-president Tyler Sigman.

This comes as the developer has become aware of the game being sold on the Windows Store, built-in to Windows 8.1. The listing was removed at 6pm GMT thanks to Red Hook working with Microsoft, but the alleged 'publisher's other titles are still for sale.

The developer in the Microsoft Store is listed as Balaji Chowdary, who has also listed LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham and Watchmen: The End is Nigh as other titles they have developed. All three games, and many of 'their' other games and programs, are being sold at £2.59 / $3.99.

So be careful you're purchasing from legitimate sources.

So, well done to Microsoft for having absolutely no vetting process...
