GOG will give you particular games DRM free.
DRM is not the most pleasant thing to deal with for PC gamers. It can cause games to lag or become unplayable on even the most pricey gaming rigs.
Well GOG.com prides itself on DRM-free service and now they are offering to give you DRM-free copies of particular games you may already own absolutely free. There are only a few available at the moment, but they are working on getting as many as possible.
These games currently include worldwide editions of:
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat
And CIS & Russian territories versions of:
- Mount & Blade: Warband
- Mount & Blade: With Fire & Sword
- Eador: Genesis
