You didn't know you wanted it, but this week Epic Games have announced that Fortnite is getting a Monopoly makeover. Just in time for Christmas.
It seems every piece of popular culture gets the same treatment, with all the usual locations replaced this time with familiar landmarks in Fortnite, such as Dusty Divot or Tilted Towers. You can see a glimpse of what's on offer below, from Epic's worldwide creative director Donald Mustard.
Thrilled to show you the final art and game board for Fortnite Monopoly! It’s so so fun and such a unique spin on the classic game mashed up with last player standing Fortnite. In stores Oct 1st!!! pic.twitter.com/aNqJmvfpb2— Donald Mustard (@DonaldMustard) 6 September 2018
As you can see, all the usual Monopoly items are available, however the miniature metal playing pieces have been replaced by tall cards, attached to some plastic so they stand up. They're going to last long when the family arguments begin after your mum has just gone around the board and bought every single location.
You can get your hands on this board from October 1st, presumably from all major outlets. No news on extra skin DLC.
