GTA Online Freemode Events and Rockstar Editor Update Available Now
The latest in a long line of free updates for Grand Theft Auto V is an exciting one. It adds a handful of new game modes to GTA Online, all of which can be played on the fly, during free roam sessions. Not only that, but the long awaited and highly anticipated Rockstar Editor and Director Mode have been added to the current generation of consoles.

There are a handful of what Rockstar Games are calling Freemode Events, some of which are takes on classics, such as "King of the Castle", which is unsurprisingly the GTA version of King of the Hill. Another event has players trying to hold onto a briefcase for as long as possible, in which the player with the tightest grip takes the spoils.
Other events however, have that GTA brand of insanity that we all love. For example, "Hunt the Beast" sees one player turn into a werewolf. With enhanced strength and speed they must flee, whilst the other players are tasked with hunting them down and putting an end to their beastly ways. Another, titled "Criminal Damage" gives the reward to the player who causes the most property damage, without having to worry about the cops ruining the fun.

Last but by no means least, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners will also be treated to the Rockstar Editor and Director Mode. Console gamers have been drooling over this feature since it released on the PC, many moons ago, but now the wait is over. You can not only save and edit gameplay clips with the Rockstar Editor, but Director Mode gives you the ability to play as any character in the game. Story characters, NPCs and even animals are available for you to play as - providing you have encountered them via Story Mode.
The Freemode Events update is available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One now.
