Habbo Hotel is Turning 25 and is Celebrating with a Month Long Event

Habbo Hotel was one of the biggest MMOs back in the early 2000s, and while many don't survive a decade, Habbo has managed to thrive through 25 years of being online. 

As one of the original virtual communities, August will be a month of celebrating Habbo's silver anniversary with a mixture of nostalgia, community celebrations, and all-new features. Old player will be able to partake in classic room-building, and Collectibles and wearable tech will be available via giveaways on TikTok, Instagram, and X. 

Here are a few highlights that you can find for the 25th anniversary. 

• The Furni-Matic Returns: A recycling machine that allows you to trade unwanted furniture to possibly get rare rewards. 
• Loyalty Crowns: For those playing for upwards of 15 years, Habbo will be releasing anniversary crowns that are tied to the age of their accounts. So, those still logging on since the early '00s will get some recognition.
• Player-Made Public Night: Created by a long-time Habbo player, this will be a public hangout space which uses advanced in-game logic to shift from a sunny day to a neon-lit night to showcase the creativity tools for today's players.
• Classic Games Return: Some of Habbo's fan-favourite games will be returning and will be integrated with some limited-time quests to award players with in-game currency so they can unlock some exclusive event items.
• Animated Clothing Items: Habbo will be bringing in animated clothing, such as a floating balloon hat and more to add to their pixellated avatars.
• The Throne Returns: The iconic Throne will be return with a new black and gold colour scheme. But that won't be the only one that you'll find returning.
• Live Parties: Staff-hosted live events will occur throughout August across all of Habbo Hotel's nine regional communities.
