Hello Neighbor 2 Announcement Trailer

The sequel to TinyBuild's surprisingly popular Hello Neighbor series was revealed at 23rd July's Xbox Games Showcase. It's as stylised as ever, as spooky as ever and now... it's open world? That's right; Hello Neighbor 2 is taking the series open world in addition to bringing a suite of other features and enhancements. Check out the world premiere above.

The sequel looks to delve deeper into the franchise's expansive lore. Since the original's release, Hello Neighbor has expanded into books, comics and even saw a TV pilot; Hello Neighbor 2 looks to take advantage of that by weaving a story that fits into the franchise's expanded universe.

Finally, the AI system has been reworked. Rather than relying on "manually placed waypoints" like the original, Hello Neighbor 2 makes use of a dynamic self-learning AI that observes and reacts based on the player's movements.

Hello Neighbor 2 is coming to Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC "sometime later in 2021". A playable alpha for the game is out now on Steam.
