Hitman on PC Getting Tons of Negative Reviews
After the debacle of Batman: Arkham Knight (some of the links to the months-long epic here), you would have thought that any upcoming AAA multiplatform release would ensure it has had a ton of quality assurance for PC.
Well, despite only going on sale today, HITMAN (2016) is already sitting at 229 negative Steam user reviews to 198 positive.
As well as low frames per second on high-end systems, some users are reporting that they pre-ordered the Full Experience, yet are being told that they need to purchase the Upgrade Pack after the tutorial mission. Random crashing, being forced to user controllers that they don't have plugged in, graphical settings being greyed out... People are not happy.
We'll keep you posted, especially if it suffers the same fate as the aforementioned Dark Knight...

Damn and even after having a beta they still mess up with the performance. Also DX12 is pretty much buggered on it as well.

I think that the people that complained about not getting the Full Experience might have been either in the dark about Hitman being episodic, or not aware that they have to beat the tutorials several time in order to advance.Because apparently your objective is completed when you kill the guys three times.

Then whomever developed it (if not IO Interactive) are still at fault for not making it clear. Treat your customer like an idiot, then you get fewer customer complaints.
It may also be people not installing the Paris pack, which I believe may be listed as DLC in the user's library. Again - unclear instructions, it just says "Go buy this on Steam!"

Yeah they force you to kill the guys 3 times because they know there is such a lack of content. On their website it clearly states that 'Full Experience' will give you access to all the main story missions.... it just fails to say that the latter of those will not be completed or available for download until 2017. I genuinly paid full price for this game on steam and was led to believe it was a full game. nowhere in game or otherwise does it suggest the game is episodic. It is so far from completion not just on a content level but but mechanically and visually. I replayed the missions over and over in utter confusion as to why There was no mission progress. because of this my game time exceeded 2 hours and I was not then elegible for a steam refund. A horrible tactic used by IO and square Enix and the criticism is more than justified imho.

We actually discussed whether the way Steam sets it out on its store page is confusing or not, in the Grincast. http://www.gamegrin.com/articles/the-gamegrin-grincast-episode-40-playstation-vr-and-the-death-of-game-stores/
It's missing a lot of information, as the game itself is... So, a perfect match for it!
