Hotline Miami Meets Dark Mediaeval Fantasy in Moroi with Latest Reveal Trailer

Publisher Good Shepherd Entertainment is working with developer Violet Saint to bring Moroi, a dark fantasy hack-and-slash adventure set inspired by Romanian folklore to creation. Resembling the insanity and dark humour of Hotline Miami, this title will be set in a dark fantasy mediaeval world full of chaos and gore.

You take control of a character who doesn’t remember their name, past, or sins, as you awaken in the titular land of Moroi. Inspired by Romanian folklore, you’ll need to fight against waves of enemies and monsters in gorey combat set in an isometric world, as you fight melee or utilise long-range machine-gun weapons to fight through the horrors.

Wield unorthodox weaponry that would only work in such a twister realm such as the jagged teeth of a hellish duck or accept the aid of a flying brain as you try to claw your way out of this Hadean landscape. Find new types of bizarre weapons and explore the labyrinth as you enjoy fast-paced action combat and tear through the monsters that stand in your way — it’s time to wake up.

Engage with macabre puzzle-solving as you delve deeper into the Cosmic Engine, finding new clever solutions for the twisted blockages that stand in your way. Interact with the denizens of this harrowing world and enjoy brief reprieves of dark humour, but tread carefully, as your decisions lead to one of multiple endings, some of which may be more gruesome than the experiences that led to them in the first place.
