Introducing Lyra, The New Handheld Retro Game Console

Creoqode, a London-based technology and design company, have met their Kickstarter goal £30,000 for their new creation, the Lyra, on 21st July 2019. The Lyra is a handheld gaming console that will be able to emulate any game from the classic era. It is powered by a Raspberry Pi CM3L (Compute Module 3 Lite).

Two different versions are available: the RTG (Ready-To-Go) and the DYI (Do-It-Yourself). The RTG version comes pre-assembled and tested. For the DYI, Creoqode states that assembly should take no more than 15 minutes and requires no soldering or special skills.

Lyra will also have the ability to connect to the TV via an HDMI port to allow gaming on a larger screen. It also functions as a PC and contains USB ports to connect a mouse and a keyboard.

You can back the Kickstarter here. Delivery date is set for December 2019.
