Kickstarter game of note: We Happy Few

Compulsion games, also known for the game Contrast is proud to present their on take on post apocalyptic ideals with We Happy Few, a terrifying look into a utopian society where not all is as it seems. In the world of Wellington Wells.

A society that wished to forget about the troubles World War 2 brought decided to take powerful drugs called Joy to become happy despite the consequences. A few folks try desperately to escape from this world of delusion and are labeled as downers in this society.

You play as one of those downers, trying your best to blend in with the crowd while finding the supplies and weapons you need to survive. According to the KickStarter, once the citizens of Wellington notice you don't belong,

"They start coming after you, you’re going to have to fight, run, or hide. Combat isn’t easy - you’re not a superhero who can reload a saved game, you’re just a normal person trying to survive in a crazy world. Alternatively, you could craft an escape mechanism or take Joy to blend in… but every option comes with some sort of disadvantage. And usually, because you have one life, you’ll want to be very, very careful about what you’re doing."

Are you interested in having social stealth from a very different kind of zombie? The Kickstarter has not met its funding goal yet though over twenty days remain to support it. Best of luck to the developers, and we will see what the market decides on their game.
