Kickstarter of Note: Learn Game Development by Building 100 Games

Kickstarter of Note: Learn Game Development by Building 100 Games

A few weeks ago we reported on the Humble Game Making Bundle which gave you the tools to craft your own works of action-adventure or RPG.

Today we bring you a Kickstarter which promises to give you the instructions on how to use some freely available tools! Through at least five courses (more on that in a moment) you will learn how to create one hundred games of your own. The best way to learn is by doing, after all.

These are the courses that you will get for pledging $19CAD or more (though that tier is limited availability!):

  • Learn how to build 20 games in Construct 2
  • Learn how to build 20 games in Xcode with SpriteKit
  • Learn how to build 20 games in Unity2D
  • Learn how to build 20 games in Game Maker
  • Learn how to build 20 games in Unity3D

But if John Bura, the creator of these courses and more, hits certain stretch goals, there will be even more! Xcode 7, Blender and even Unreal.

All courses will be available separately on Udemy, delivered by September 2016. However, you will get sent a link to one of John's past courses, How to make 20 games without coding and earn passive income (19 hours of tutorial, worth £231) for free!

So if you want to learn how to make platformers, match-3s, RPGs or even the next Angry Birds then you can head over here to back this project. It needs $750CAD to pass and -- it has almost $10,000CAD.

John has created 62 courses on Udemy, covering Photoshop, iOS 9, HTML, jQuery and loads more, teaching over 80,000 students. If you're up for more learning, then find the rest of his courses here. Some of them are even free.

Props to him giving his services to those who backed a project that failed to deliver.

Lawsuit awaits for that guy!
