Kickstarter of Note: Moonlighter

At GameGrin, we like to highlight some Kickstarter campaigns for games we'd like to see funded. Today we're taking a look at Moonlighter, "An Action RPG with rogue-lite elements about Will, a shopkeeper who dreams of becoming a hero."

As seen over on Moonlighter's Kickstarter page, it's a retro-style game that focuses on combat and trading. 

Wisely managing the gold from those sales is the only way he’ll get strong enough to risk into deeper gates and, maybe, open the sealed one.

Moonlighter has endless randomly generated dungeons, a myriad of cool and expensive items, many weapons, dozens of weird enemies, five incredibly tough bosses and gold... tones of gold!

You start with 100 gold coins. Some cheap equipment.

And a shop.

Our main inspirations are Rogue Legacy, The Binding of Isaac, The Legend Of Zelda: The Minish Cap, Studio Ghibli and Recettear.

Half of the developers' desired funds have been carried out, through 860 backers, at the time of writing. The Kickstarter campaign still has a full month left, so you can chip in if you choose.
