Killing Floor 2 to be Published by Deep Silver on the PS4

After the success of the first game, Killing Floor 2 has been expanding and developing in Steam’s Early Access program for over a year now. The wait is nearly over now though, with the full version due very soon on the PC and PS4. Whilst the PC version is being self published on Steam by Tripwire Interactive themselves, a publishing deal for the PS4 version has now been confirmed. The gory shooter will be coming to Sony’s console via Deep Silver, publisher of the Dead Island and Saints Row series.

The new title takes place roughly one month after the first game. The outbreak that was sparked by Horzine Biotech’s failed experiment has gained even more momentum. This means there’s even more bloodthirsty zeds baying for brains and you must shoot your way to survival in this brutal trial.

The game benefits from a whole host of new features and enhancements. For example, if you’re a fan of viscera, there’s loads more now. With a new engine, the game sees more blood and flesh splashing around than ever. The gore has been upped a notch with the addition of what the developers call a “high powered persistent blood system” and there’s way more points at which limbs can detach now, making the death of each zed as unique as a precious snowflake. A bright red snowflake that screams and flails about a lot granted, but a snowflake nonetheless.
