Lego Minifigures Online Open Beta set for June

Lego Minifigures Online Open Beta set for June

Lego Minifigures Online, an MMORPG from developer Funcom is set to hit open beta for select markets in June. The closed beta has been under way since autumn 2013.

The game sees players collecting and playing as various minifigure characters, taking them on adventures in various different worlds based on Lego toys. On the website for the game, viewers can log in with their Lego ID, sign up for the open beta and collect stars which reveal minifigures as a sort of website mini game. These minifigures are not unlocked in the game itself.

The website also teases some of the playable characters, all of whom seem to be toys from various series of minifigures purchasable in shops, including an opera singer, Cyclops and chicken-man to name a few. There are also some of the environments on display such as alien worlds, medieval castle and jungle environments.

Lego Minifigures Online will be available on PC and tablet devices and apparently you will be able to play the same game, on the same servers on both platforms. It appears to be aimed primarily at the younger audience as kind of a kids' MMO, but no doubt there are many adults who will enjoy the game too.

His skill mostly resides in talking a good game. Legend has it he once hit somebody on Call of Duty but no evidence has been found.
