Little Nightmares III Announces Its Launch Date in 10-minute Gameplay Trailer

The Little Nightmares fandom has been receiving a lot of love from BANDAI NAMCO and Supermassive Games in 2025, as the franchise is promising to expand and bring a lot of goodies to players. With a one-hour-long showcase sharing all sorts of things from the series, it's no surprise that we got a look at the upcoming Little Nightmares III, offering us a look at the gameplay (10 minutes of it) alongside a release date.

It's been four years since Tarsier Studios (the original developer for Little Nightmares and Little Nightmares II) launched the sequel to the franchise-starting title. Since then, it's become a staple of the atmospheric horror genre, working as a great foundation for horror titles that would be inspired by it.

The franchise itself is eight years old this year, launching on the 27th of April 2017, and it's eyeing a successful decade of launches with each of its titles being just short of the prestigious Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam. That's not all the acclaim it's received, however, as both entries have been received with critical acclaim, accruing an aggregate Metacritic score of over 80 (with Little Nightmares II surpassing the original by two points).

So, it's not wrong to say that Little Nightmares III is a highly anticipated title. With over 70,000 followers already on Steam, it's set to be a success for Bandai Namco, and it'll be interesting to see how the game evolves under the development prowess of The Quarry and The Dark Pictures Anthology developer Supermassive Games.

Little Nightmares III launches on the 10th of October 2025. You can pre-order the title now, with those who purchase it receiving a free copy of Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, which is currently not available for purchase on the Steam store individually.

Little Nightmares III is available for £34.39, and you can nab the Deluxe Edition for £50.12.
