It seems the Little Witch Academia franchise has no plans to slow down as a new project has launched on Kickstarter based on the successful anime from Studio Trigger.
Titled Little Witch Academia: VR Broom Racing, developer UNIVRS is looking to raise the funding to create a charming and engaging broom-flying experience for both fans and new comers alike. Players will be able to freely create their own avatar and enroll at Luna Nova as a potential student. With a host of characters to meet and interact with from the franchise, players can expect to have some interacting races as they partner up and set off.
Details are a little thin on the ground but the Kickstarter page does have a wide range of backer tiers and rewards up for grabs for those looking to support the project. This includes a £22 (GBP) tier for a digital key of the title all the way up to a £7,000 (GBP) tier to have a unique player character designed to your liking, among other rewards.
At the time of writing the campaign has raised nearly £10,000 (GBP) of it's £36,842 (GBP) target. There are 40 days remaining in the campaign.
Currently Little Witch Academia: VR Broom Racing is planned to release in or around June 2020 for Oculus Rift, Oculus Quest, PlayStation VR, and SteamVR, should the campaign succeed.
