Magic Arrives to Pioneers of Pagonia in New Magic Update

The Early Access release of Envision Entertainment's Pioneers of Pagonia has just received its biggest update yet: Magic Update! Harness the power of the arcane and enjoy a few requested changes to the combat mechanics.

The latest update to this base-building procedurally-generated title brings with it the power of magic. As the Malthorns emerge in Pagonia and summon waves of demons, players will now have to amass armies to fight back against enemies, bringing a highly-requested feature to the title. The team has pivoted from one-on-one combat to allow players to overwhelm foes with numerous units, increasing the survivability rate of weaker units. To accommodate for this change, unit values have been changed to better fit a group of enemies and ensure the combat system encourages bringing several pioneers with you to the world.

Monumental buildings can now be brought forth by players anywhere, giving them new special abilities! From The Monument of Knowledge, which allows players to summon ancestors and mine resources or repel dangerous attacks, to the Light Spire, which works as a lighthouse to warn against incoming sieges, you'll have a few new buildings to play with.

Finally, treasure hunters have arrived, and you'll be able to send them out to hunt for hidden riches, secret arsenals, and lost artefacts! The male treasure hunter is voiced by Maurice Weber, whilst Ovilee May lends her voice to the female one.
