Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree Gets New Game+ And More in Update 1.6!

Knights Peak and Primal Game Studio have officially announced the release of Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree's latest update. 

In Update 1.6, you can expect more extensive content and balance updates, but most importantly, it includes New Game+ to increase its replay value. Not only will there be quality-of-life improvements, but there will be more gameplay, UI, and graphical enhancements to look forward to.

In the new trailer, you can see how New Game+ adds to the joy of fighting the bosses all over again. But, there's also more. With New Game+, you'll be able to start with a fully-equipped character, and you'll face empowered variants of your enemies, as well as equipment and weapons. Speaking of weapons, there will be three new ones introduced in New Game+: Aurora, Crimson Slicer, and Reignbreaker. 

Outside of this, you'll be able to remove and return your skill upgrades, talents, and nodes at the Witches' Altar. Players will also get the ability to instantly learn talents and nodes, too. 

The gliding mechanic has also been improved, so you'll find that there's better activation timing and fewer chances to accidentally cancel your glide. In terms of other improvements, bosses have also been optimised, so Sleepwalker and the final boss have now become more balanced. Adding to this, there have been changes to Nightshade's Shadowstep and Vanguard's Adrenaline in terms of their activation, and improvements to your enemy hitboxes.

Most importantly, there have been numerous fixes for crash and logic bugs, including map inconsistencies, talent malfunctions, and animation glitches.

With Update 1.6, the main game systems have been improved to enhance the player experience, with more detail being found if you look at the full patch notes.

Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree is available in both Standard and Deluxe on PC (without third-party DRM) via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.com. It's also available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a later Nintendo Switch release expected later in 2025.
