Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater Is Out Now
On the 28th of August, Snake returned to the videogame landscape in METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER, a remake of fan-favourite prequel, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Often hailed as the series' finest hour (and considering that it is canonically the first game in the timeline), it made sense for Konami to start here.
Now, MGS Δ is a very faithful, shot-for-shot remake of its predecessor, with the only obvious change being the updated visuals. Due to this authenticity, MGS Δ still features all of the same "tactical espionage action" that you remember, including the unique, original dialogue, which remains unaltered. Even the Guy Savage Nightmare Sequence and Escaped Apes make reappearances.
However, there have also been some quality of life updates, which includes a quick menu for swapping camouflage and a modern control scheme, and there are also some new (and delightfully whacky) outfits.
METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER is available now on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and you can check out our review here.
