Microsoft, LeBron James and Bugs Bunny Team Up To Encourage Young Game Developers

Microsoft has joined forces with Warner Bros. to help promote the upcoming Space Jam sequel, Space Jam: A New Legacy. In a new competition, running from the 14th to 30th December, players will submit their idea for an arcade-style game based on Space Jam: A New Legacy; the two best ideas (chosen by Microsoft) will then be made into a game, available on Game Pass Ultimate. The two winners will also receive a competition-exclusive prize package:

  • Their name in the credits of the game.
  • Signed LeBron James memorabilia.
  • Personalised Xbox Series S console.
  • Space Jam: A New Legacy VIP pack.
  • Nike VIP Pack.
  • A private screening of the film.

In addition, Microsoft has launched a series of Space Jam: A New Legacy coding lessons aimed at younger players who are eager to dip their toes into game development and develop their tech literacy.

Space Jam: A New Legacy , both the film and the videogame adaptation, is set for release in 2021. The game development competition is set to run from the 14th to 30th December.
