More Than 16 Publishers Making Announcements During gamescom Opening Night

The German gaming event gamescom is upon is, and this year is shaping up to be a solid turnout for exciting new videogame announcements, with more than 16 publishers showing off new content during the opening night of the event.

The currently confirmed publishers include 2K, Activision, Bandai Namco Entertainment, Bungie, Capcom, Electronic Arts, Epic Games, Google Stadia, Koch Media/Deep Silver, Private Division, Sega, Square Enix, Sony Interactive Entertainment, THQ Nordic GmbH, Ubisoft and Xbox Game Studios, with even more yet to be announced.

It’s doubtful that each of these publishers will be showing off brand new games, however this doesn’t necessarily mean that the announcements won’t be worth tuning in for. Game director Hideo Kojima will also be attending the opening night, giving exclusive previews for his upcoming PlayStation 4 title Death Stranding.

The gamescom opening night will air live 19th August at 7pm, with the main event running from 20th August - 24th August.
