CD PROJEKT RED have been hard at work over the past number of years on their new massive single player title Cyberpunk 2077. The game is currently shaping up to be as expansive and detailed as their previous title The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but the company is seemingly going even larger with a confirmation that multiplayer will also be coming to the game.
News comes in way of a recent tweet from the company’s official Twitter, stating “Until now, the only thing we said about multi was that it was in R&D. As we’re getting closer to launching ‘single player’ Cyberpunk 2077 in Apr. 2020, we’d like to confirm that multiplayer's in the works!”.
In a follow-up Tweet, CD PROJEKT RED clarified that multiplayer would be coming sometime after launch, with free DLC and single-player content taking priority.
Cyberpunk 2077 will release 16th April 2020 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Google Stadia.
