Myst Saga Available In Its Entirety
Fans of Myst, one of the most famous (and infamous) video game experiences of the 1990s, have cause to rejoice: the entire saga - Myst, Riven, Myst III: Exile, Myst IV: Revelation, and Myst V: End of Ages are all available on Good Old Games right now. That's right, fans of Cyan Worlds' brainy and beautiful adventure puzzle game series can relive all the nostalgia, upgraded to play on modern machines, right now, just in time for the game's 25th Anniversary.
Largely unavailable for years since their release, Myst III and Myst IV are finally available for public consumption on GoG.com, joining a discounted Myst: Masterpiece Edition, Riven, and Myst V, and the spinoff game Uru: The Complete Chronicles, on the digital distribution site. This is a perfect chance not only for fans to relive the beautiful game experience, but for new players to experience one of the best selling PC games of the 90's.
This news comes following Cyan Worlds' big Kickstarter project for a massive 25th Anniversary Collection project that would not only include all seven games in a single package but also a series of video game artifacts, including a "Linking Book," special inkwell and pen, and design sketches from Riven. The project was so popular that it was fully funded in only eight hours (even beating out the official press release), and eventually reached $2.8 million (about 11 times what they were asking for) with over 19,000 fans pledging to bring the project to live.
Check out GoG for more details on the current releases now available, and keep an eye on the official Kickstarter page to keep an eye on the official Anniversary Collection.
