Both paid DLC and some additional free content are coming to Streets of Rage 4 later this year. Developer DotEmu has announced via the above trailer their plans for the hugely successful new instalment of the classic franchise, and they're just as big as you might expect for game that's shifted over 2.5 million units now.
Streets of Rage 4 will be getting three new characters, the first of which is revealed as Estel, who we've already seen as an antagonist in the game. The vicious vixen will be switching sides and joining the forces of good in taking on Mr X and his minions. In addition, we'll be seeing a new "survival mode" appear in the game, and some new music from legendary composer Tee Lopes.
The free update is brining with is a new difficulty setting for those who want to be even more punished by the titular angry streets, and a training system to help out those who aren't quite there yet. There's no word yet on a date, but both the DLC and the free update are set to come to all platforms later this year.
