New Expansion Announced for Final Fantasy XIV, PS3 Version Closing

At the Las Vegas Fan Festival, Square Enix gave us a sneak peek of the second expansion for their hit MMO FINAL FANTASY XIV. The title will be Stormblood, and we can expect to see it in the summer of 2017. The expansion will bring an increase to the level cap, new areas and a revamped battle system.

Sad news however for PS3 players of the game however, as alongside the launch of the expansion will come the closure of that version of the game. If you're playing on Sony's last generation machine then a free upgrade service to the PS4 version will be announced soon. If you don't have a PS4 though, then you might want to start thinking about a change of platform between now and the summer.
