New Features and a New Look for the Xbox One

There’s a new update currently rolling out for Xbox One owners. Those updating their consoles will benefit from a number of new features, including a new look for the home and guide, improvements to Cortana, and integration of streaming platform Beam.

If you’re not familiar with Beam, you should be, as it’s where GameGrin often stream. Microsoft have integrated it into Windows 10 already, but they are now hoping that it can become the streaming platform of choice for Xbox One gamers. Integration with the platform means that you can now stream to Beam directly from your dashboard, as well as watch some of the top streamers that are broadcasting on the service from the comfort of your sofa.

As well as Beam, the new update brings with it a faster, more intuitive Home and Guide. New multitasking scenarios are present and for those with smaller fingers prodding the joypads, you can now manage your family’s gameplay with new screen time limits, updated for today’s digital family.
