New Steam Apps Will Extend The PC Platform To Mobile

Valve have announced two new mobile applications will launch this year to extend the Steam platforms services to Android and iOS. The Steam Link App will work similarly to the Steam Link device, and will allow you to experience your Steam library on your Android or iOS devices, including phones, tablets and Smart TV extensions. The App will support the Steam Controller, MFI controllers and more across both platforms, and is due to launch the week of the 21st of May 2018.

The Steam Video App will allow users to enjoy the thousands of films and TV shows available on Steam directly from their Android or iOS device. This service will allow users to enjoy this content in offline and streaming modes, and is due to be released later in summer of 2018.
