New Title from the “Dread Flats” Team Unveils Steam Page Alongside Teaser, Dread Neighbor

A new title from the creators of Dread Flats has been unveiled with a Stean page as well as a teaser trailer showing off the first-person horror is the next instalment in the series, Dread Neighbor.

Dread Neighbor delivers a new horror experience for fans of the genre in an immersive world where you feel like you are constantly being watched from within the walls, under the bed and around every corner.

In the game, you play the role of a young woman who rents a cheap, but remote apartment to save up some money, as you go about her daily routines until something sinister enters into her life — someone is always watching.

Developed by Ghostcase and published by Erabit, Dread Neighbor features renowned Chinese horror creator Dajishi as core concept designer, helping enhance visual quality, presentation, and player immersion in aims to create a suffocating and intense atmosphere.

Major improvements to visual fidelity from the previous title have been done by using refined 3D rendering in the game’s environments, from dimly-lit hallways to liquid dripping from the ceiling and eyes glinting through cracks in the wall.

Dread Neighbor also incorporates a PT-style progressive horror loops, allowing the actions of the player affect scenes and events.

The player will be pulled into a world that appears mundane but hides layers of danger and unease, where a missing neighbour and traces of a possible murder scene will lead you into horrific and claustrophobic danger.

Dread Neighbor can be wish-listed on Steam now with the release date yet to be announced.
