New Trailer for RPG Parody Book of Demons

When we talk of paper RPGs, we’re usually thinking along the lines of Vampire: The Masquerade or Advanced Dungeons & Dragons. Indie developer Thing Truck have a slightly different way of looking at it though. Their debut title Book of Demons is a parody of modern hack and slash games, featuring paper-thin characters in a style akin to Paper Mario or Tearaway. It’s a novel twist on the genre which comes complete with a healthy dose of dark humour throughout.

Book of Demons is the first installment in the Return 2 Games series which was announced by Thing Trunk last year. Each game in the R2G series takes place in “Paperverse”. A peculiar world where all characters and objects are made of folded paper. True to the origins of the hack & slash genre, Book of Demons tells the universal story of good vs evil, of a hero's quest to save the world from the ultimate devilry. Thing Truck have promised a gameplay video will be available soon, but for now, we have an announcement trailer to show the unique world that the Polish developer have created for us.
