New Twin Mirror Dev Diary Explores the Setting and Tone

Twin Mirror developer Dontnod have recently released a new developer diary, showing how the inhabitants and the town in which they reside set the tone for the game.

Protagonist Samuel Higgs is an investigative reporter, who returns to his old town after hearing about the death of his best friend. As you'll see in the above trailer, some of the characters don't seem best pleased with his arrival.

After returning home, he wakes up to find his shirt bloodied, with no recollection of the events that led to that. The trailer seems to bring out some Alan Wake vibes. In order to remember what happened, he'll travel into his "Mind Palace" and speak to his inner voice, the aptly named "Double".

Dontnod originally announced the game at E3 2018, and is planning an episodic release next year. It will be split into three parts.

Episode One, Lost on Arrival, launches in 2019 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
